Bud Break in Waconia Wine Country

Celebrate Spring Bud Break with us in Waconia Wine Country! Each winery will have special wine tastings and vineyard tours throughout the day from 12-6 PM. No tickets necessary, just purchase special tastings upon arrival at each winery, conveniently located within a 5 mile radius of each other in Waconia.

Day’s Events at Parley:

  • Special Tastings: $10 (sample 4 wines from our current selection of award-winning wines)

  • Winemaker’s Tasting: $20 (Taste through several years of Marquette with our Winemaker; samples include current and library Marquette wines). Sessions at 2 PM & 3 PM.

  • Vineyard/Orchard Tours via Tractor: Join our grower on a ride through the rolling landscape of our orchard and vineyard. *Free with wine purchase (glass, bottle or tasting)

  • Music: Nick Nielsen joins us for this special event. 1:30 - 4:30 PM

  • Sculpture Stroll: Walk around our beautiful property and take in the unique sculptures and works of art on display from local and regional artists.

  • Dog Agility Demos and Mini Class: Adventure is Barking will be providing some dog-friendly fun!

    • Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Sara Spevacek, will be at Parley answering all your dog training related questions, doing agility demos and offering mini agility try-it classes at various times during the event for dogs and their owners to try out a fun and exciting activity!

    • Mini agility try-it classes for dogs* (and their owners) will be offered for $20. Participants will receive 1/2 Off A Wine Tasting that day. Sign up at adventureisbarking.com (*dogs can be any age but must be friendly with other dogs to take part in the mini class)

    • **Not all wineries in Waconia allow dogs; please check websites of other wineries before visiting.

About Bud Break

“Bud break” is the process of the vines coming out of hibernation from the long winter months. While impossible to predict the exact timing, early May is usually a good predictor for all things are turning green and life being evident on our vines!
