Wine Tasting Notes

The resulting wine is crisp & clean with hints of apple, pear and tropical fruits.  It has a hint of sweetness to complement the predominant apple component.  The naturally low amount of acid in the apples only required 1.2% residual sugar to achieve this balanced touch of sweetness.

Recommended Food Pairings

Our apple wine is perfect by itself, chilled on a hot day.  It pairs well with a salad garnished with apples and pears.

Wine Maker's Notes

It was only natural for Parley Lake Winery to make an apple wine as we are co-located with Deardorff Orchards, one of the top orchards in the United States. We set out to create an apple wine that was distinctive, sophisticated and food-friendly.  With each vintage, we start with great Honeycrisp and Haralson apples, complement with Chardonnay for a more wine-like flavor and add Frontenac Gris for a splash of fresh tropical aromas.
